Charles Gatewood Memorial Sketches

These are a couple of drawings that I made while attending photographer, Charles Gatewood's Memorial at the Center for Sex and Culture in 2016. The drawings don't have anything to do with Gatewood, nor the precedings of the ceremony which incluided (notably) performance artist, Annie Sprinkle, dipping her very large breasts into a large saucer of milk which was then passed around the room for people to drink from. Punk singer, Jello Biafra, sang something acapella. Neither of these performances seemed to have anything to do with Gatewood specifically except that I am sure he would have enjoyed the spectacle - I did. And, since I knew him for many years, and he was a fan of my work, I am sure he would have enjoyed these quieter offerings displayed here as well. RIP Charles Gatewood.
