Taboo Tableaux

This watercolor painting was made in London in 2015 while my Crossroads of Curiosity installation was at the British Library. The painting was made in exchange for rental of an AirBnB in Hampstead Heath.

Thematically and stylistically it is related to the pair of paintings titled "Flesh Parade". I was inspired by a mural that wrapped around a large water drum reservoir, a ruin of the former military base that is now "Slab City" in Niland, California near the Salton Sea.
